Amanda Dudley is graduating from Cottage Grove High School (CGHS).
In school, she worked on the Year Book and also was the official school photographer for many events. Amanda plans to attend Lane Community College and study Early Childhood Education.
Shelby Hakanson is graduating from CGHS. Over her high school career, she participated in the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and sang and acted in high school plays and musicals. Shelby will be attending Pacific University in Forest Grove. She is planning on double majoring in pharmacy and music. She will also be playing in the pep band at Pacific.
Aislinn Mirsch is graduating from CGHS. She started an Ecology Club and organized environmentally friendly projects for students and taught pond ecology to the Lincoln Middle School seventh graders. Aislinn is taking a year off from school to live in Germany and travel!
Max Monsen-Daniels is graduating from CGHS. This spring he received many accolades for his starring role in "Much Ado About Nothing". He was recently awarded a CGHS staff scholarship. Max plans to attend Lane Community College this fall. He is considering a future working as a high school biology teacher or as a screen play writer.
Jonathon Zeller is a high school graduate; he studied at home and took classes at Home Source and CGHS. He was recently awarded the prestigious National Merit Scholarship. This fall he will attend the University of Oregon, majoring in biology, psychology or both.
University
Kate Hemsoth is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Southern Oregon University (summer). She will take some time off, perhaps working at an elementary school as an educational assistant or other role, before applying for the MAT program. As for jobs, she would like to stay with a teaching position in Oregon but it all depends on where the jobs are available. I
Alex Kelsh is graduating from the University of Oregon with a Spanish major and a minor in Political Science. He intends to teach summer school in Hong Kong before returning to Eugene this fall.
Graduate School
David Heritage is graduating from the University of Oregon (in August) with a Master's Degree in Education. He is interested in teaching high school chemistry or middle school science.
Aaron Kelsh is graduating from Simon Fraser in Vancouver, BC with a Master in Fine Arts degree in Film Making. He plans to stay in Vancouver and is currently looking for a nanny position.
Brad Simpson recently received his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering in the Ocean Engineering Department from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Emily Simpson was awarded a PhD in Atmospheric Chemistry from the University of British Columbia. She is currently teaching at a college in Vancouver, BC.
Medical Residency
Kendra Long is completing her residency in Pediatrics at Phoenix Children's Hospital. In September, she will return to Oregon to begin her work at Willamette Falls Pediatric Group.
