Reverend Shereda Benfield
Our stated supply pastor,
Reverend Shereda Benfield,
began serving our congregation
on Sunday, 7 March 2010.
Shereda brings a wide and varied experience to
our pulpit. She has served as pastor, stated
supply pastor, and interim pastor and has most recently
served as one of seven pastors in an interdenominational
church in Bend, OR. She served as a captain in the US Army as a race relations equal opportunity staff officer in an Army medical center and in Germany. She has served on an Oregon team for Presbyterian disaster relief, on a Presbytery personnel committee, and as an associate pastor for pastoral care and outreach, and has led women's retreats. She holds a BS from the University of Oregon and a Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary. She is the mother of two grown children; she and her husband currently live in Bend, OR.
